CARA uses human rights based approach in tackling human rights promotion issues by empowering citizens to claim their rights and increasing the ability and accountability of individuals and institutions who are responsible for respecting, protecting and fulfilling their responsibilities and mandate.
To apply the core principles of accountability, good governance, participation, non discrimination, empowerment and legality. CARA gives Community people greater and meaningful opportunities to participate in shaping the decisions that impact on their human and civil rights and increasing the ability of those with responsibility, duty bearers for fulfilling the rights to recognize and know how to respect those rights and make sure they can be held accountable and mitigate the effects of human rights violations.
CARA believes everyone has a right individually or in association with others to promote and to strive for the protection and realization of human rights and fundamental freedoms at the national and international levels. CARA emphasizes proportion and protection of rights of less privileged population like the People with disabilities, People living with HIV and AIDS, children, youth and the elderly.
